Cattle diet

Bos taurus is a ruminant and requires a large amount of forage. General requirements for cattle are:

• Daily intake of at least 10% of animal weight in leafy forage

The animals spend some time grazing and will then rest to rechew the cud. During this time they should not be disturbed nor moved to a different area.
